School student leaders lay ANZAC wreath

Cherbourg State School student leaders, Miajyn Hegarty and Tarell Leedie lay a wreath on behalf of the school.

Organisers of the 2018 ANZAC Day service were pleased with the attendance saying numbers are growing every year.

Mr Eric Law said that increasing numberswere showing respect for the day and for those who fought for our country.

Morning Tea followed the service at the Ration Shed.  People were invited to look through exhibits there and in particular to learn about a new app that can be used to learn about Cherbourg Diggers.

Local school students carried posters displaying the names of soldiers, and wreaths were laid.
